Document Imaging

Definition:
Taking a piece of paper and converting into an electronic picture of the document. This process is done through the use of a scanner.

The value of this technology is immeasurable. There are literally hundreds of applications and uses for document imaging. There are, however, some common advantages to document imaging no matter what application you use. They are, increased productivity, money savings, and a much higher ability to research documents.

Having your documents imaged can be as basic as just having them converted into an electronic file and stored on some form of computer media. Imaging also can be as advanced as to allow you to view data based information about each set of documents, search every word on each document, highlight and redact pages, and even attach certain documents to transcript pages.

Whatever application you use, Docu-ROM, Inc. can provide the service.

We can scan into just about any format you want. Docu-ROM also can code and OCR documents to help our clients get the most out of document imaging.

We can export images into most litigation support software packages including:

  • Summation
  • Sanction
  • Trial Director/Document Director
  • Concordance
  • Doculex Image Viewer
  • JFS Litigators Note Book
  • PDF and More
